A Million Horrible Guitar Solos (or) AI Video Clips with No Purpose

Over the past two weeks, my feed has been flooded with AI-generated video clips. Most of these clips were created using tools like Dream Machine, Sora, Runway, Hugging Face, and a few others.
I’m reminded of a 14-year-old boy in the corner of a messy teenage bedroom, fumbling his way through a Guns N' Roses guitar solo while his friends look at their phones.
While many of the clips have some visual appeal, I can’t help but think, “Who cares?”
That view may be too harsh but I am concerned that the excitement over what AI can do is clouding over the importance of what good good ideas can do.
I tried working with Dream Machine. It was fun for a little while but after a few attempts, the novelty began to wear off.
What I’m most curious about is, how are these hundreds of thousands of poorly played guitar solos (video clips) going to turn into good songs.
Holy Cr*p: The GenAI Explosion is Still Coming!
Generative AI is set to skyrocket over the next decade, transforming how we create content across industries. If you thought that GenAI was getting close to running at full throtle, think again. A projected 14x increase is on the way.

In 2024, the market is expected to reach $67.18 billion. By 2028, it is projected to nearly double to $118.1 billion. Looking further ahead, the market is forecasted to skyrocket to $967.65 billion by 2032.
For creatives, this explosive growth in the generative AI market means there's a massive opportunity to integrate AI tools into your artistic process. If done correctly, Generative AI can help you push the boundaries of creativity, streamline repetitive tasks, and explore new artistic possibilities.
While many will get caught up in the AI for AI’s sake tornado, keep looking for ways to use GenAI to amplify your human creativity.
